Martin P. Kaufman, Psy.D. is a New York State licensed psychologist who has held a clinical and consulting private practice for the past 20 years. The clinical side of his practice has been very eclectic, working with children, adults, teens, couples and families. The consulting side of his practice is equally diverse, including work with foster care and adoption, state and county social service agencies and serving as the psychological consultant since 1985 to a nuclear power facility.

In addition to his psychological practice, Dr. Kaufman has worked for the past five years in the financial advising field, working with individuals, business owners and executives with a focus on succession planning, estate planning, key executive retention and partnership agreements. He utilizes his clinical experience when consulting with these venues to mediate and resolve the challenges of shared ownership and succession, particularly with family owned businesses.

Dr. Kaufman holds a masters in counseling degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a doctorate of psychology degree from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.
