| John Brennan, a native of Australia, received his masters degree from Syracuse University and his doctorate from the University of Rochester. His dissertation researched the effectiveness of humanistic and behavioral modeling approaches to training people in interpersonal skills. While he has spent most of his career designing or delivering training, he was also a Vice-President of a training and development franchise with operations in 25 markets.
Dr. Brennan has designed and delivered leadership, sales and team training programs in North America, Asia, Europe, Australia and the Middle East. He has authored articles that were published in trade magazines, and has been a guest speaker at numerous national and regional professional conferences. He has also taught courses in organization behavior at Rochester Institute of Technology, and co-taught a course in consulting at the University of Rochester. In 1980, he founded Interpersonal Development, Inc., a training and development firm with an international client roster. His firm specialized in custom designed training, executive coaching, team building, and competency-based assessments. The firm's clients have included corporate, government, education and not-for-profits. Among these are Volvo, Volkswagen, The Prudential, Merrill Lynch, Eastman Kodak, Gannett, Best Foods Europe, Equifax Europe, and the Economist Group and other small businesses. To better service existing and new international clients, Dr. Brennan opened a European office in Brussels. Interpersonal Development was acquired by the Professional Development Group in January, 2004. Dr. Brennan is a member of the American Society for Training and Development, the Organization Development Network and the International Federation of Training and Development Organizations. He serves on the Board of BestTimes Financial Planning and Prison Outreach, Inc. and does volunteer work with recovering drug addicts and alcoholics. |
